Staffline is recruiting Senior General Operatives to work for a leading fruit and vegetable production site in Peterborough.
This is a modern site with brand-new facilities, clean changing rooms, and plenty of opportunities for progression.
Pay Rates
Training Period:
- Day shift: £11.44 per hour
- Night shift: £11.76 per hour
Post-Training:
- Day shift: £12 per hour
- Night shift: £12.25 per hour
Shift Patterns
- Day Shift: 05:30 - 18:00 (4 days on, 4 days off)
- Night Shift: 17:30 - 06:00 (Monday to Thursday, additionally you would be required to cover Friday or Sunday night shift as well)
You will need to be flexible to meet the demands of the business.
Transport is provided from Peterborough at 4 different locations for £8 per day, covering both to and from the site. After training free Staffline transport can be provided.
Your Time at Work
As a Senior General Operative, you will be based in the production area and your main responsibilities will involve the below, but will not be limited to:
- Working on the line
- Signing in and out workers
- Supporting Line leaders with any request they may have
- Ensuring PPE is wore correctly by workers
- Monitor the GMP procedure, people washing hands before entering production
- Inside the production help shift managers/line leaders allocate workers to the lines, and make sure everyone
is on the line at shift start
- Headcount, to make sure everyone is inside and registered
- Embedding New Starters
- Supporting with the lockers, to make sure workers are adhering to PPE control
- Break time. Monitor washing hands procedure, monitor workers are not taking overalls to the canteen area, face masks, checking smoking area during break times, making sure workers not going there in PPE or with drinks.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect Senior General Operative will be confident with communication skills. You will be happy leading by example as you will be required to work on the production line.
Being able to adapt to different situations would also be an essential skill.
No previous experience is necessary as a Senior General Operative, as full training will be provided.
