Merton College are looking to appoint a Lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, and assessment on Level 3 Childcare, Level 3 Health & Social Care and Access to Nursing and Midwifery, as well as provide academic tutorial support to students. This role will play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum, with employer engagement and learner skills development central.

Acting as a Course Leader and Academic Tutor, you will deliver teaching and assessment activities including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practical’s, and field work to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will contribute to the school community, identifying opportunities for employment and skills focused study for learners and seek ways of improving performance by reflecting on teaching design and delivery, obtaining and analysing feedback.

Qualified to degree level as a minimum in Childcare and Education, Early Years, Health and Social Care, Nursing, or another relevant subject, you will have experience of teaching Level 3 Childcare, Level 3 Health & Social Care and Access to HE in an FE College, School, or private provider. You will have a successful record of tutoring and supporting learners and of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring and reviewing progress.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
