Civil Engineer
Salary: 32,000 - 38,000
Location: Morden
We're looking for a Civil Engineer with at least 2 years of post-graduate experience to join a supportive and knowledgeable team. You'll be involved in a variety of projects including retaining walls, earthworks, temporary works, and general structural and infrastructure design. It's a great chance to strengthen your skills across key areas of civil engineering while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures using hand calculations and design software
- Creating practical and buildable design concepts that meet client expectations
- Producing detailed design work to current codes and standards, including risk assessments and sketches
- Making sure your work follows internal quality standards and is professionally delivered
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng, 2:1 or higher)
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Working towards membership of ICE or IStructE
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes and DMRB
- Experience using structural design software such as TEDDS or SCIA
- Previous rail design experience is a bonus
- A clean UK driving licence
Additional Info:
- Open-plan office environment
- Some site visits and occasional travel may be required
- Occasional evening, night, or weekend work may be needed and will be paid accordingly
- You'll attend meetings where necessary to support project delivery
