Behaviour Support Assistant

This mainstream Primary School located in the Borough of Merton is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team! As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be working alongside pupils with complex behavioural needs who require some additional guidance from a positive and assertive role model! You will support their everyday routine and keep them engaged and motivated to learn in the classroom. This is a full time, long-term post, commencing ASAP for the entire academic year.

This is an ideal position if you are seeking experience before commencing a career as a Therapist, Counsellor, Speech and Language Therapist, Prison Liaison Officer and more!

Behaviour Support Assistant- Job role:

  • Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom
  • Encourage the development of the students' social skills
  • Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs
  • Support and comply with the school's safeguarding procedures
  • Full-time, long term position starting ASAP
  • Located in the Borough of Merton
  • 95 - 105 per day

Behaviour Support Assistant- Candidate Specification:

  • A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University
  • Genuine interest working with SEN
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt
  • Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable
  • Calm and compassionate nature
