Procurement Project Officer - MertonPermanent – Full TimeHybrid – 3 days PW in office £42,800.00 per annumAbout the role
  • Provide professional procurement support to the Category Advisors and Category Managers to develop and implement category management processes to secure quality and deliver value for money across the organisation.
  • Lead on the delivery of the procurement and contracting strategies for nominated categories of goods and services. Manage spend categories utilising category management processes to secure quality and deliver value for money across the organisation.
  • Analyse and interpret statistics, spend and performance data using the information available to recognise patterns and / or trends and to draw conclusions and/or produce recommendations for achieving commercial consensus.
About you
  • Candidates must either have, be working towards or be willing to work towards a CIPS Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply (level 5), within a mutually agreed timescale, and adhere to the Institute's Code of Conduct.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of the public procurement rules.
  • Proven experience of applying UK public procurement regulations and the techniques used in managing UK procurement/tender processes and of participating in multi-disciplinary project teams.
