Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and adaptable English Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in SM4.

Position Details:
Position: English Teacher
Location: Carshalton, London Borough of Sutton
Start Date: Immediate Start
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Unqualified Teacher Daily Rate: 120 - 170 per day (depending on experience)
Qualified Teacher Daily Rate (QTS): 180 - 250 (according to your teaching scale)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role
This role involves teaching KS3 students in small groups (up to six pupils) with a focus on providing tailored and impactful education. The role requires excellent behaviour management skills and an ability to engage reluctant learners in English.

Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to individual student needs.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment in small group settings.
Build strong relationships with pupils to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
Collaborate with a dedicated team to support the personal and academic development of students.
Take on planning, preparation, and assessment duties associated with the role.

Requirements
Experience teaching KS3 or primary-aged students (experience in a PRU or similar setting is ideal).
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to diverse learner needs.
Empathy, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting students with additional challenges.
Warm and energetic personality with a desire to help students succeed.
A valid DBS on the update service.
The right to work in the UK.
Proven teaching experience (formal qualifications are not required, but experience is essential).
