Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract dates: long term with the opportunity of a permanent contract.

A lovely, small ASD school in Merton, are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to support across KS1 & KS2.

About the school

The role would include:

  • Supporting pupils throughout the school day
  • Behaviour/learning support
  • Holding 1:1 or small group sessions
  • Aiding with the set up and set down of the classroom
  • Maintaining high levels of health and safety with the pupils
  • Aiding the teacher with the day to day running of the class

As a successful candidate you MUST have:

  • SEN support experience whether through care work, paid work, placement, volunteering, or personal experience
  • Availability Full Time - 8:30am-3:45pm Monday to Friday
  • Experience using resources such as PECS, Makaton or TEACCH is highly desirable but not essential
  • A positive and nurturing approach to support
