We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to a pupil in Y3/4. This role involves providing 1:1 support both in class and around school as required. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering an individualised timetable that includes brain and sensory breaks and will assist in supporting the pupil with communication and interaction difficulties.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil in Y3/4, ensuring their daily academic and emotional needs are met.
  • Deliver a tailored timetable that includes necessary brain and sensory breaks to support the pupil’s learning and development.
  • Assist in the classroom and around the school, ensuring the pupil integrates well with peers and participates in school activities.
  • Support a specialist teacher with Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and other educational programs.
  • Help in the development and implementation of innovative educational programs and activities that cater to the needs of the pupil.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, particularly in providing 1:1 support.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of children with communication and interaction difficulties.
  • Ability to work closely with teachers and other educational staff to implement effective educational programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
