We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Morecambe. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to facilitate the learning and daily routine of a non-verbal pupil with Down’s Syndrome, working closely with another teaching assistant in a mainstream school setting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with another teaching assistant to support the pupil’s everyday routine and integration into mainstream school activities.
  • Develop a caring and supportive relationship with the pupil, focusing on enhancing their educational and social development.
  • Employ specialised communication techniques to interact effectively with a non-verbal pupil.
  • Assist in the implementation of educational plans and activities designed to meet the pupil’s unique learning needs.
  • Provide emotional support and demonstrate resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the pupil’s education and care.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
