Fleet Turbine & Maintenance Group are looking for a Storekeeper to support the Strategic Spares Stores Facilities located in Heysham.

The Strategic Spares Storekeeper will report directly to the Strategic Spares Liaison Engineer. Typical duties associated with the role include;

  • The storage, care & maintenance of the existing Nuclear UK Fleet of Strategic Spares
  • The movement of strategic spares to the required locations for both refurbishment and re- plant at the station
  • Stock management including condition monitoring routines.

In order to provide the level of support expected, the successful candidate should:

  • Be reasonably computer literate, standard programmes Word, Excel, etc. An understanding of EDF bespoke systems would be desirable. (training will be given)
  • The role requires operation of fork lift trucks, basic rigging skills, stock taking, receipt inspection of material, good housekeeping and reporting of conditions that are detrimental to personnel or plant/equipment.
  • Candidates will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
  • You should have an attention to detail, demonstrate personal accountability and time management skills whilst working as a nuclear professional at all times.
  • Hold a full clean driving license.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become part of the Forward Deployment Service Team (Part of the EDF Emergency Scheme), should this be of interest.If so, full training would be provided.

You will work 38hrs per week. (08:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 14:00 on Fridays) Remuneration will be based on experience. Hours may increase during planned periods of maintenance however this will be subject to management approval.
