Job Title: QA/Technical Manager
Salary: Up to 45,000 PA
Location: Morecambe
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour break) with some flexibility
Holiday: 30 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)

Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated QA/Technical Manager to join my client's technical team. The ideal candidate will oversee technical operations, ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, and implement HACCP protocols. This role requires a keen analytical mind to assess processes and improve efficiencies within the organisation. You will work closely with the production teams to maintain high-quality standards while driving innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure optimal technical performance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer COPs, and BRCGS.
  • Oversee the application of HACCP principles throughout production processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyse data related to production processes, quality control, and product specifications to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product development and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, process improvements, and compliance status for management review.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a technical supervisory role within a relevant industry (High care/Ready Meals).
  • Experience in ready meal production is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and HACCP regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of BRCGS, GMP, and retail customers.
