About Us:

The setting is a thriving and inclusive primary school committed to providing high-quality education and a broad, engaging curriculum for all pupils. We are seeking a passionate and experienced PE teacher to join their team and deliver dynamic, engaging PE lessons across Year 1 to Year 6 during PPA cover.

The role will be working afternoons on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays with some additional afterschool clubs required (sports related).

This position is fixed term from Easter 2025 until the end of the academic year, with the potential for it to become a permanent position.

The Role:

As our PPA PE teacher, you will:

  • Deliver well-structured and exciting PE lessons across all primary age groups (Year 1 to Year 6).
  • Inspire children to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and a love for sports.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive environment for children to thrive in physical education.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure lessons complement the school curriculum.
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management and uphold the school's values.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience in teaching PE.
  • Knowledge of the primary PE curriculum.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire children of all ages.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Passion for physical education and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
