Job Title: Servicing Manager
Location: Heysham
Salary: £41,600 (dependent on experience, with potential for increase)
Job Type: Full-Time Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)
This is an office-based role, requiring someone with a technical background and experience managing engineers. You will be responsible for scheduling, prioritizstion, and ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer Management: Plan and oversee the workload of engineers, ensuring productivity and accountability.
Customer Support: Handle inbound calls from customers experiencing technical issues. Determine whether support can be provided remotely or if an engineer visit is required.
Planning & Coordination: Prioritise annual servicing, testing, and reactive maintenance. Work closely with the sales team and internal departments to coordinate jobs effectively.
Process Improvement: Assess and overhaul current systems to improve efficiency in scheduling, reporting, and job completion.
Customer Liaison & Reporting: Manage paperwork and reports from site visits, ensuring accuracy and prompt completion. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding issues and resolutions.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to address ongoing challenges and refine operational procedures.
What We're Looking For
We need someone with technical expertise, managerial experience, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Ideal candidates will have:
A background in agricultural machinery, plant machinery, or industrial equipment.
Strong logistics planning and prioritisation skills.
Experience overseeing engineers or working in a workshop/maintenance supervisory role.
A calm and professional demeanor, able to handle fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
A solutions-focused mindset, looking for ways to improve efficiency rather than dwelling on problems.
CRM experience (SAGE and Excel preferred but not essential).
A valid drivers license, with potential for occasional site visits.
