White Star Taverns have an exciting opening for a Bar Manager to run the wet sales of The Plough Inn Stretton-on-Fosse.About the Role:
White Star Taverns have recently acquired The Plough Inn with a view to adding investment to the establishment to improve its value within the community and the wider area of tourism and passing trade. Stretton on Fosse has a number of Air BnB and holiday lets who all look for a quality local restaurant and Pub with entertainment. We are looking for a candidate who will join in our vision to improve the quality of the establishment and improve both wet sales and food sales. White Star Taverns are looking to various improvements in the pub including increasing the Beer Garden, improving and increasing the Hospitality areas and future accommodation projects.
As a Bar Manager at The Plough Inn, you'll be an integral part of White Star Tavern’s Free House. Your role will involve overseeing the smooth operation of the bar, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining the pub's inviting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bar operations and ensure high-quality service
- Run & Work the bar
- Authorise alcohol sales
- Run and maintain the cellar
- Train and support bar staff to deliver excellent customer experiences
- Maintain inventory levels and oversee stock rotation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food and drink service
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
