Details of the role involve:

  • We are looking for experienced Social Workers to join our Children and Families Teams in either Cotswolds or Stroud as an Advanced Practitioner.
  • As an Advanced Practitioner, you will be instrumental in delivering a first-class service which will provide the best outcomes for the children and young people of Gloucestershire.
  • You will be a resilient, driven individual who can play your part in making our vision for childrenā€™s services a reality.
  • Taking on a protected case load, you will work to create the best outcomes for children and young people with complex and challenging needs, risks and circumstances.
  • You will take a lead in promoting and supporting quality control and improvement activities within the team and across the service and support performance activities.
  • We are operating to a hybrid way of working.
  • All staff work in the office to complete visits and to provide a duty service and at home to complete administrative tasks.
  • All children are to be seen face to face.
  • The candidate will be expected to be in the office more in the initial stages of employment to help build the team cohesion and feeling of stability.
  • The candidate will be provided with a laptop and smart phone to assist with this.

Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Fully Social Work England registered
  • Must have significant experience in childrenā€™s social care
  • Must have expert knowledge of CP, CIN and court proceedings
