KCR are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work for our client based near Morpeth, this is a very varied role which will include mostly finance based work so knowledge of accounts packages is essential.

Permanent role - 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday .9-5

Hybrid role, some time working in the office in Northumberland required

Reporting to the Office Manager and Managing Director

Job Duties:

  • Inputting of supplier invoices and looking after the purchase ledger account
  • Assisting in looking after after the property accounts and coordinating with the property manager
  • VAT Returns for all sites
  • Ensuring Intercompany accounts reconcile each month
  • Assisting with some bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with foreign currency accounts.
  • Assisting with Final Trial balance for year end accounts before sending to accountants.
  • Dealing with HMRC on company matters
  • Assisting with month end balance sheet reports
