Set in the beautiful market town of Morpeth, Barluga is a unique and unforgettable venue that not only produces some amazing dishes in our restaurant setting but also provides a range of stunning dishes to cater for events such as weddings in our large function room. Creativity and passion for great food using fresh produce is at the heart of what we do here at Barluga Morpeth, and we are looking for a Chef de Partie to work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team aid in this.

Roles and responsibilities for the role:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section.

- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.

- Preparing a range of dishes using fresh produce.

- Assisting with the management of health and safety.

- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices.

- Monitoring portion and waste control.

- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.


Skills needed for the role:

- Relevant cooking qualifications.

- Proven industry experience.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Team focus.
