My client is a large facilities and maintenance company who operates in various sites across the commercial sector. They are currently looking for an experienced maintenance electrician to join an established team on a static site in Northumberland. This role is full time, permanent with core working hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems (e.g., distribution boards, lighting, machinery, and equipment).
  • Fault-finding and troubleshooting of electrical issues that may arise across the site.
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards (18th Edition, etc.).
  • Responding to and addressing any electrical faults or breakdowns promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the site's operations.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on equipment to avoid future issues.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a recognized electrician qualification-NVQ Level 3
  • Successful completion an electrician apprenticeship or have equivalent experience working as an electrician.
  • Understanding of I.E.E. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Over 5 years of FM experience
  • Ability to collaborate within a team or as an individual where required.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Problem-solving capabilities to address challenges and obstacles effectively.
  • Able to handle pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Need to Pass level 3 MOJ checks - DBS
