A Teacher of Design Technology is required for a lovely SEN school we work with in the Morpeth area. As a Teacher of Design Technology you wil be required to workwith children with needs ranging from ASD, MLD, behavioural issues and PMLD/complex needs. The position is full time and will be due to start in December 2024 untilFebruary 2025 and potentially beyond.
Experience in supporting children with any of the above needs would be an advantage and a willingness to learn and engage with SEN children is the most important quality we are looking for.
The successful Teacher of Design Technology candidate would:
- Have good classroom management skills
- Have a passion for teaching Design Technology
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Be able to organise themselves
- Be able to plan effective, engaging DTlessons
- Have previous experience of working with children with SEND
We are keen to hear from both experienced Design Teachnology teachers or ECTs.
You will have or be prepared to obtain a DBS check and we will need to carry out our vetting checks in a face to face interview at our Sunderland office. In addition, we will need to take up at least two references.
