Anderson Knight are delighted to be supporting our Lanarkshire based client, who after a strong period of growth are bringing to market a newly created Management Accountant role.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, key duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple entities and year end accounts.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
  • Preparation of board reporting packs and providing insightful reports for senior leadership.
  • Conducting in depth analysis to support strategic decision making.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and to drive profitability and overall financial performance.
  • Assist in the annual budget preparation.
  • VAT returns.
  • Supporting the internal and external audit process.

This list is not exhaustive and there will also be exposure and opportunity to undertake other adhoc tasks key to overall financial delivery.

The main candidate will be fully qualified who can demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. You will possess excellent analytical skills to deal with complex issues and optimise business performance.

To succeed in this role you will need excellent communication skills to effectively work alongside non financial stakeholders as well as play a key role in a close knit, collaborative Finance team supporting junior and transactional members.
