Job Title: Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Design Engineer
Location: Glasgow
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting control and instrumentation systems for various projects. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements and enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver control system designs, including hardware and software specifications.
- Conduct functional design specifications and system architecture design.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of C&I designs with project objectives and client expectations.
- Support the integration of control systems with existing infrastructure.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for system design.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving for existing systems.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports to support project delivery.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in controls and instrumentation design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools.
- Strong understanding of control theory and instrumentation systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IChemE, IET) are a plus.
