Global Recruitment have a permanent job opening for a QHSE coordinator based in North Lanarkshire

As specialists in structural, architectural and structural steelwork, our client has created unique and ‘state of the art’ facility capable of delivering any type of project. Talented people with backgrounds in design, engineering, science and machine technology power their workshop, which offers services in metalworking. 

Salary - Competitive salary depending on experience (Up to £42,000) 

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and time management skills and be self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible, with the ability to manage and work within an established team.

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Liaise with Head of Operations on the training requirements from annual assessments, appraisals and audits
  • Liaise with group regarding H and S, quality and environmental issues
  • Be confident to deliver training inductions
  • Have a strong background within QHSE in manufacturing
  • Possess knowledge of H and S systems alongside quality and environmental
  • Possess sound knowledge of ISO standards
  • Carry out risk assessments
  • Ensure upkeep of training records
  • Act as named person for auditors
  • Ensure that plant service schedule for all the works, offices and buildings in updated and recommendations are carried out.
  • Audit all systems and procedures as stated in the H & S management system


Experience required

The ideal candidate would have:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience within a health and Safety in a Engineering/manufacturing industry.
  • Senior Health and Safety Compliance professional
  • Experience in leading and managing a team (Advantage)  
  • Proven track record of Health and Safety policy creation (Advantage)  
  • Experience in ISO 45001


Minimum Qualification required

The successful candidate will be:

  • Nebosh General Certificate (with 5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role) OR
  • Nebosh Diploma (preferred)
