Quality Inspector - Engineering | Lanarkshire

An established global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of equipment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Lanarkshire.

With over 50 years of industry experience, the company supports advanced thermal processing technology used in critical applications worldwide. As part of a larger international group, they deliver high-quality engineering solutions on a global scale and are ISO 9001 certified.

About the Role:This is a hands-on quality inspection role covering both vendor and in-house manufacturing operations. The role will involve inspecting incoming goods, in-process inspections on the shop floor, and supporting quality activities across the vendor base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of incoming engineering components and fabricated parts

  • Reviewing weldments and machined items in materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and industrial plastics

  • Conducting in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet drawing specifications and quality standards

  • Using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and verniers

  • Verifying dimensions, surface finish, and completeness of assemblies

What You'll Need:

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerances

  • Proficiency with common inspection tools and equipment

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15

  • Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
