Warehouse Operative

Join our team as a Warehouse Operative and contribute to the efficient operations of our logistics activities. We are looking for an experienced individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load goods onto trailers using proper techniques to prevent damage and maximize space utilization. Unload incoming deliveries from suppliers or other warehouses, ensuring items are checked and sorted appropriately.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) Updates: Efficiently update the WMS to reflect real-time stock levels and movements, including logging product returns, stock adjustments, and new stock entries.
- Collaboration and Independence: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily goals and ensure timely completion of tasks. Independently meet deadlines, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and ready for shipment.
- Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols and guidelines.
- Additional Duties: Assist in various warehouse duties as required, including organizing shelves, labelling products, and supporting inventory audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role.
- Proven ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- High accuracy in picking and packing orders with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking tools.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Experience with stock counting, order picking, and maintaining inventory is highly preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is advantageous.
