We are looking for:

A highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to join Dispatch

Working hours 7.30am - 8.00pm, 4 days on, 4 days off

The Position

  • Maintain computer work related to sales, production and stock records
  • Ensure customer orders are collated efficiently & safely with 100% product pick achieved.
  • Ensure that all colleagues are carrying out their designated roles and tasks safely, competently and efficiently, following all policies and procedures
  • Communicate to customers & haulers, collection requirements needed for dispatch process
  • The loading of all external hauler trailers in an efficient manner with all aspects of health and safety adhered to
  • Monitor the team to ascertain that customer stock is rotated and that accurate stock counts are completed and any anomalies highlighted
  • Conduct regular Asset stock counts
  • Check promotional calendars to proactively plan for extra asset equipment needs
  • Raise all tray orders to the tray companies in good time. De-hire trays and pallets dispatched on a regular basis to keep balances correct
  • Keep tray, pallet and equipment spreadsheets updated daily to ensure the accounts team have access to quantities and delivery information when reconciling invoices
  • Alert Manager and the production team any perceived shortfall in asset availability
  • Liaise with alternative shift team leader to maintain a smooth ordering and de-hiring process

The perfect candidate should have

  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner, while always keeping in mind the company clean as you go policy
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally with suppliers
  • Strive for 100% accuracy in all aspects of the role
  • Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to
  • Able to work to time pressures
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Able to follow instructions, written and verbal
  • A‘ can do attitude’ and attention to detail
  • Prior leadership experience preferred but not essential
  • Shunter experience would be beneficial
