ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Building Services Engineer to deliver high-quality professional property services
across a varied portfolio of projects. This role focuses on the design, coordination, and management of electrical engineering
services, contributing to energy efficiency, safety compliance, and sustainability goalsincluding Net Zero Carbon initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage electrical building services across design, development, maintenance, and refurbishment projects.
- Provide detailed technical input and project manage installations, including lighting, power, fire alarms, IT infrastructure, lifts, access control, CCTV, and more.
- Prepare technical designs, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documentation.
- Lead and supervise contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring work is delivered to high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Support asset management by conducting property condition surveys and updating relevant data systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external utility providers to review and implement electrical and utility upgrades.
- Contribute to carbon reduction efforts by researching and implementing energy-efficient and sustainable solutions.
- Respond to maintenance issues, inspections, and emergency call-outs with professionalism and technical expertise.
What Were Looking For
- Proven experience in electrical building services design and management.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems in buildings, including compliance with current regulations (e.g. CDM 2015).
- Excellent project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Confident communicator with stakeholders, clients, contractors, and the public.
- Commitment to sustainability, safety, and service excellence.
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours emergency service rota.
Desirable
- Experience supporting asset management systems and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Familiarity with preparing and managing service level agreements (SLAs).
- Knowledge of utility coordination and risk mitigation.
