This is a great opportunity to join a thriving business who have recently won major contracts in the medical device sector. This role will be well suited to an electrical or mechanically biased maintenance engineer who has worked in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Working on a shift basis, this position will provide you with excellent training opportunities within a secure business environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate effective technical skills to support our manufacturing operation.
  • Operate in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, departmental procedures, company policy and GMP.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure targets for delivery, quality and efficiency are met.
  • Implement planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Communicate problems and issues which impact manufacturing schedules or maintenance plans.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • HNC or equivalent in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline
  • Experience of fault finding and repairing hydraulic systems and components.
  • Experience of working with pneumatic systems.
  • Experience of carrying out electrical fault finding, repairs and installation work.
  • Experience of working with and fault finding on PLC controlled systems, sensors switches etc.
  • Experience of working on facilities, maintenance and routine checks, carrying out regular fire system tests etc.
  • Experience of and comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment.
