Maintenance Engineer, Musselburgh, Temp to Perm, 19.10 per hour + Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x + Sundays paid double!

Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team within a well-established manufacturing company, based in Musselburgh. The successful candidate will have prior experience in an industrial setting and hold a strong background with breakdowns, PPMs and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimized plant and machinery breakdowns. This is a 12-week temp to perm position, however depending on performance permanent position available.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical maintenance across entire site, ensuring all machinery and equipment operate at peak performance.
  • Provide support to the engineering department to ensure timely completion of PPM schedule.
  • Attend all breakdowns onsite, ensuring equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimized.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, resolving issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance machine performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in automotive/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Control and Hydraulic Systems.
  • Excellent planning skills, with the ability to develop effective maintenance programmes.
  • Candidates with experience or knowledge of electrical systems would be preferred.
