Are you an experienced Service Engineer looking to take the next step in your career?

Our client, a market leader in high-quality slitting and rewinding machinery, is seeking a skilled Service/Installation Engineer to join their International Machine Support Department based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong electro/mechanical engineering background who is ready to travel worldwide to support their growing customer base. Are you the right person for the job?

  • Proven experience in a production machine service/installation environment
  • Background in electro/mechanical engineering
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
  • Knowledge of machine controls (PLCs) and A.C drive controls
  • Experience with mechanical engineering, servicing, and repairs
  • Knowledge of the Converting Industry is an advantage
  • Based locally in Ipswich or nearby, with the ability to be factory-based when not traveling

What will your role look like?

  • Provide service and installation support for slitting and rewinding machinery
  • Travel worldwide regularly to perform installations and servicing
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
  • Work with machine controls PLCs, A.C drive controls, and electro/mechanical components
  • Perform mechanical engineering tasks including servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Be based in our Ipswich factory when not on-site
