- Always complying with legal obligations, safe working practices as detailed in Risk Assessment, Methods Statements, work instructions, permit to work and guidance from management.
- Effectively communicating with Production staff to ensure breakdowns and maintenance are carried out and managed in a timely and efficient way.
- Providing feedback on-going work being done, needing done, or completed to the operator or supervisor of the department.
- Having clear and precise communication with your shift supervisor daily to determine workload.
- Identifying areas and new approaches in line with LEAN principles.
- Actively working on improving the effectiveness of PPMs
- Ensuring all work is completed as per agreed work plan instruction.
- Ensuring every job is successfully passed on to next shift or continued to be worked on in order to avoid downtime.
- Reducing downtime
- Aim for zero Health & Safety issues
- PPMs completed correctly- taking manufacturers recommendations into account.
- HNC/HND/C&G or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Maintenance experience in automation processes would be preferrable, but not essential
- Fault finding in PLC systems would be preferable, but not essential
- Maintain installation infrastructure
- The ability to follow PPM schedules
- The ability to work safely, under pressure, in a production environment
- Comfortable using an e-maintenance system
- Computer proficiency
