Are you a Mechanical Engineer/ Supervisor or similar from a manufacturing or heavy industry background looking to take your engineering career to new heights with industry leading training in a role at a well-established and family-run timber manufacturer with a reputation spanning all the way back to the 1860's?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to become a staple part of one of the UK's most established family-owned timber manufacturers, with an unmatched reputation, who currently boast a history spanning longer than any other timber manufacturer within the UK.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing shift operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to risk assessment and safe working practices, as well as promoting and fostering effective communication between team members, shifts, and departments.

This role would suit a Mechanical Supervisor/ Engineer or similar with heavy industrial experience and experience with hydraulic systems, and either an HNC/HND or City and Guilds or equivalent, looking for a position at a well-established timber manufacturer with overtime potential and industry leading training.

The Shift

  • 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 4 on, 3 off- Repeat
  • 10-hour shifts alternating between 2 weeks 6:30 AM- 6:30 PM and weekend work 1 in 3 weeks 4:30 PM- 4:30 AM

The Role

  • Oversee shift operations, ensuring health and safety compliance
  • Regular audits ensuring adherence to risk assessments and safe working practices
  • Champion effective communication among team members, shifts and departments
