The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator with FLT experience to join our clients team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly! Temp to perm contract!!

Rate of pay: £11.68ph Hours of work: DAYS Monday to Friday 7.30am-3.30pm shifts Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks providing candidate meets performance and job spec criteria below.

Purpose of the role:To guarantee raw materials and parent reels unloading, storage and handling in compliance with work instructions and safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Unload incoming goods from the vehicles recording all necessary paperwork
  • Carry out visual inspection of all incoming loads to ensure that the load matches the paperwork
  • Run quality check of all incoming goods
  • Transport goods using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store them in the correct storage bay
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed
  • Operate FLT / Clamp trucks safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectation
  • Transport required reels and raw materials from warehouse to production workstation
  • Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults
  • Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
  • Carry out periodic stocktaking activities
  • Guarantee the warehouse space optimization
  • Transport parent reels from paper mill production area to warehouse if required
  • Work closely and in cooperation with the rest of the Day Services and Shift teams
  • Carry out any other reasonable request and support the colleagues in case of need
  • Ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
  • Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

Requirements:

  • RTITB FLT counterbalance licence desirable or an inhouse licence
  • Has previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Works well in a team and individually
