TeacherActive are proud to be working with a primary school in the Neath area who wish to appoint an excellent and highly committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their skilled team of staff. This is a part-time role (3 days a week) starting in September and you will be required to work in a variety of classes as and when required. The focus will be on providing for general classroom support for pupils, to ensure they achieve their full potential. This role will be for two terms initially, and it will be reviewed April 2025 in line with the school budget.

The primary school also have a Specialist Teaching Facility and the successful candidate may be required to work in the unit supporting pupils with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). The school are proud of the support that they offer for learners with Additional Learning Needs. All learners within the school are supported well and they have positive working relationships with learners and their families as well as other individuals and organisations that work with their pupils..

The successful candidate will:

Will have relevant experience of working with children (minimum of 6 months)
Have a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools
Be enthusiastic about working with children
Be a good communicator and team member, who is caring, flexible and approachable helping to motivate learners to succeed
Be able to work collaboratively
Be reliable and able to take responsibility
