The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for an Afternoon Warehouse Shift Manager to join our clients team based in Baglan.

Contract: Permanent

Rate of Pay: Up to £26,000pa

Hours of work: Full time, 37.5hrs per week, Sunday to Thursday, 3pm - 10.30pm

Job Summary: The Warehouse Shift Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all evening warehouse activities to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role involves supervising a small team of warehouse staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of productivity and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage evening warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy and stock levels.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfilment.
  • Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse performance and productivity.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends.
  • Available to work overtime during peak periods
