Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Transport Planning Despatcher for our site in Neath. As part of the Transport Planning team, reporting into the Transport Planning shift lead, you will work closely with the schedulers, customer services and Bulk Logistics teams to ensure communication lines are clear and strong with all parties working towards the same result.

Hours of work:•Rotational Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours a week, 4 on 2 off with shifts spanning from 05:30am to 13:30pm and 1pm to 21:00pm which will alternate week on week, with the potential of overtime to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Customer Services and Bulk Logistics, providing regular updates on issues such as customer run-outs, vehicle breakdowns, and driver absences.• Respond swiftly to unexpected changes in the agreed plan while maintaining customer expectations.• Continuously enhance master data to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. Collaborate with National Bulk Logistics teams to update customer information and conduct driver debriefs.• Make informed decisions regarding schedule adjustments, balancing customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue potential from fulfilled orders.• Support the company's safety agenda by contributing to initiatives that reduce risks for drivers.• Plan alternative routes, update customer master data regarding site access, and schedule driver breaks, promoting health, safety, and wellbeing.
