The salary for this role is 42,000 - 50,000.
Skills needed in the Electrical QS role:
- Strong knowledge of various forms of Contract; such as JCT, NEC & FIDEC
- Experience in dealing with social housing contracts is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
Responsibilities of the Electrical QS role:
- Successfully deliver the projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations
- Engage with suppliers & sub-contractors to establish and maintain competitive tenders for each project
- Carry out on-site measurements of works to help ensure agreement among all parties
- Review & collate subcontractor packages and all relevant documentation to a high standard
- Reconcile cost and value to date and forecast to inform management of project performance
- Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with construction professionals and ensure completion of actions
