Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Briton Ferry, Neath, SA11

Salary Package: Up to £35,000

Monday to Friday (Full Time) 

Manufacturing Industry 

Purpose:

To carry out general ledger activities within the system, ensuring that the company's accounting information and practices are accurately represented.

Key Duties:

. Process fixed asset and general ledger transactions, including monthly closings
. Reconcile general and subledger accounts and prepare monthly payment proposals
. Post journal entries to Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts
. Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies
. As an Accounts Assistant you will prepare reports for authorities, including Intrastat and statistical summaries
. Manage intercompany reconciliations and assist with transfer pricing and financial statements documentation
. Conduct research to answer financial queries, provide audit support, and offer training for assigned tasks
. Archive financial documentation and actively promote a safe and principled workplace culture

Requirements:

. A degree in Finance, AAT qualification, or equivalent
. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and solve problems effectively
. As an Accounts Assistant you must have proven experience working collaboratively within a team
. Familiarity with SAP systems
. Previous experience within the manufacturing sector
. Knowledge of international business practices
