MERJE is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller for a leading company in the Technology sector. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations, reporting, and strategy for a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will oversee a team of six and report directly to the Group CFO.

The Role

The Group Financial Controller position offers a unique opportunity to drive financial excellence across the organisation. This role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on management of key finance functions, including external reporting, audit processes, and treasury management.

Key Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller:

  • Lead external financial reporting and manage the end-to-end Group audit process
  • Oversee Group treasury activities and tax compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems
  • Provide leadership to the finance operations team
  • Support commercial decision-making through high-quality management reporting

Required knowledge and experience for the Group Financial Controller role:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 10 years post-qualification experience
  • Extensive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of Group tax compliance and planning activities
  • Proven track record in managing transactional activities across the cash cycle
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Whilst the initial search is for an immediate Interim candidates a Permanent role also exists should you be looking for a long term role.
