Management Accountant/Financial Controller | Nelson (Hybrid) | £55-70k

TalentEdge are supporting manufacturing business in the Nelson area that is looking to add an experienced Management Accountant/Financial Controller to their finance team.

Role Overview

You will lead and manage financial operations, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, and strategic financial planning, assisting the FD to ensure the company's fiscal health and alignment with its broader financial objectives

They are looking for either someone at financial controller level or a strong management accountant with the capability to progress to this position in the near future. Strong technical skills and the ability to adapt to changes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations and reporting.
  • Prepare financial, income, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Analyse financial data to support decisions.
  • Assess financial risks, insurance, and hedging.
  • Oversee cash flow and liquidity planning.
  • Optimize tax planning and compliance.
  • Collaborate with auditors and resolve findings.
  • Contribute to financial strategies and goals.
  • Lead and develop accounting teams.
  • Control costs to enhance profitability.
  • Improve finance department processes.

Benefits & Package:

  • Competitive salary ranging up to £70,000 (dependent on experience and job level)
  • Working hours 8am to 4:30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8am to 1pm Friday
