I am working exclusively with my client based in Nelson to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk for their growing team. The client is ideally seeking a candidate that has worked in an SME that wants to get involved in a broad range of tasks especially purchase ledger. This is a brand new opportunity so you can really make this role your own!

Job Description:

You will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department with a high emphasis on the purchase ledger side so experience of high volume invoice processing is essential. You will more than likely be studying for your AAT.

  • Purchase ledger duties batching, matching anf coding invoices
  • Completing monthly payment runs
  • Updating spreadsheets on xero and excel
  • Experience of inter-company transactions
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciling bank statements and ledgers
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimumof 2 years of accounting experience essential within Purchase Ledger
  • Proficiency in accounting software ideally Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
