Justteachers is seeking a Drama Teacher, who is looking for a permanent role, in a Secondary school in the Nelson area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in April 2025, with shortlisting currently underway.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons for KS3 and KS4
  • Developing students confidence, creativity, and performance skills
  • Preparing students for assessments, performances, and practical exams
  • Encouraging participation in extracurricular drama activities and school productions
  • Differentiating lessons to support students of all abilities
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Providing constructive feedback to help students progress
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the performing arts curriculum
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of student progress and attainment
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Proven experience of teaching Drama to KS3 & KS4 Student
  • Strong knowledge of Drama curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
