Our client, a drinks manufacturer based in Nelson, are recruiting for a skilled production operative to work as part of their growing team.

The shift pattern will be 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights - 42 hours per week on average. The working hours are 6am - 6pm and then 6pm - 6am (12 hour shifts).

Rates of pay: £13.79 per hour, with overtime paid at £20.60 per hour.

Daily duties:

  • Performing all duties within the Production Department within the Factory to ensure the effective running of the process function and/or production lines and associated systems/equipment and being audit ready at all times.
  • Operating equipment/machinery and undertaking fault finding, changeovers including CIP where relevant,asset care, and basic machine maintenance activities.
  • Management of Raw Materials in accordance with FIFO and Storage Procedures.
  • ccurately completing all monitoring systems required by the Company in accordance with Company Policies, Procedures and Standards.
  • Reporting any non-conformances to Company Policies/Procedures/Standards and supporting corrective action activities.
  • Ability to motivate/manage team members to meet team performance targets and required Company Standards
  • Working as a key member of a production team, demonstrating Company Values and flexibility to support other teams/departments where required.
  • Supporting the delivery of key performance indicators for the Factory linked to Safety, Quality, People, Delivery, and Cost Standards.
  • Participating in traceability exercises, product trials, and site audits/visits.
  • Pro-actively identifying areas for continuous improvement within the production work environment/equipment/systems and participation in short interval control and root cause analysis assessments.
  • Demonstrating a willingness to develop within the role to achieve Excellent Competency Levels.
