Marsden Building Society are looking for a Head of Mortgages to join their growing organisation. The successful candidate will oversee the mortgage lifecycle from onboarding, administration, collections and customer retention.  You will be responsible for managing the first line underwriting assessment, supporting the underwriters with pipeline management and continuous process improvement. This is a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the lending function, supporting niche lending activity and complex lending solutions.   As our Head of Mortgages, the successful candidate will operate as a member of the Society's Senior Leadership Team.

With a strategic mindset and excellent interpersonal skills, the Head of Mortgages will translate the Society’s business plan strategic objectives into a Lending operations plan to ensure the required outcomes are achieved for new business generation and retention. Possessing excellent attention to detail they will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, overseeing the evaluation and underwriting of mortgage applications while maintaining the highest levels of service to mortgage intermediaries and applicants.

The successful candidate will be forward thinking, seeking to drive and shape ideas into project deliverables. They will demonstrate effective resource and capacity planning to support new business enquiries and the servicing of existing member accounts.

A subject matter expert, with a thorough knowledge of Policy and underwriting guidelines, the Head of Mortgages will be the decision maker on all of the day to day running of our Lending operation.

Reporting into the Operations Director, this is an exciting role for an experienced candidate to join our team and help to drive forward and shape our Lending business.

This role is advertised on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week.
