This payroll opportunity is within a manufacturing business based in Nelson, they are looking for an experienced payroll officer to join their large team. This organisation are extremely remarkable, with a friendly culture, they are seeking a professional like minded individual to ensure they retain their positive and high performing culture.

In this role you will have the responsibility for a high volume, fast paced payroll processing, working in an established and happy finance team. You will ensure the time and attendance system is accurate working to deadlines, calculate a variety of payroll appropriate calculations (sick, holiday, OT, pensions, SMP etc.), resolve any payroll queries promptly and assist in processing personnel changes. You will also assist in processing credit card expenses and mileage claims.

This is a busy payroll position, working to tight deadlines, but due to the established processes and procedures in place working in sync with their payroll and attendance systems, a high volume payroll can be achieved.

  • You will be supported by the wider team, this role will only suit someone who has experience within in-house payroll, ideally on a stand alone basis
  • Attention to detail and an understanding of payroll calculations is essential.
  • You must be a strong communicator to ensure you can communicate effectively with managers throughout the business to discuss any payroll issues or queries.
