Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Pay rate: 20.30 per hour inc. shift allowance
Location: Corsham
Type: 6-month Contract
Hours: DAYS 4 on 4 off
Our client, based in Corsham, are world leaders in rail braking systems for various blue-chip clients globally, and due to a busy orderbook they are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operator on a contract basis.
This role will see you adopt a proactive approach to the setting and operating of CNC Machines and ensure continuity with other Machinists.
Duties required:
- Set, load and operate CNC Machines
- Ensure all tooling, fixtures and gauges are to correct spec
- Interpret engineered drawings and standard operating procedures
- Follow QA, Inspection procedures and control plans
- Competent in the use of measuring equipment
- Ensure Machining and finishing activities are performed to the highest level
Person specification:
- Proven knowledge and experience in setting and operations of CNC Machinery
- Experience in use of Verniers, micrometres and DTI.
- Offer flexibility to support in additional roles if required
- Must be able to work under pressure and have ability to prioritise
- Must be computer literate.
This position will see you working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation, working on Days 7:00am - 7:00pm
Proven CNC setting and operating, with a manual hands-on approach will work to your advantage. You will be expected to work well under pressure, individually and as a team.
A highly motivated and process driven individual will work well in this role, who is passionate for quality and shows great attention to detail.
