Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Our client, based in Corsham, are world leaders in rail braking systems for various blue-chip clients globally, and due to a busy orderbook they are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operator on a contract basis.

This role will see you adopt a proactive approach to the setting and operating of CNC Machines and ensure continuity with other Machinists.

Duties required:

  • Set, load and operate CNC Machines
  • Ensure all tooling, fixtures and gauges are to correct spec
  • Interpret engineered drawings and standard operating procedures
  • Follow QA, Inspection procedures and control plans
  • Competent in the use of measuring equipment
  • Ensure Machining and finishing activities are performed to the highest level

Person specification:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in setting and operations of CNC Machinery
  • Experience in use of Verniers, micrometres and DTI.
  • Offer flexibility to support in additional roles if required
  • Must be able to work under pressure and have ability to prioritise
  • Must be computer literate.


This position will see you working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rotation, working on Days 7:00am - 7:00pm

Proven CNC setting and operating, with a manual hands-on approach will work to your advantage. You will be expected to work well under pressure, individually and as a team.
