Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate or Junior Building Services Engineer/Junior Project managerto join our dynamic team. This role will provide valuable experience in supporting projects, working on tenders, engaging in design work, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering, AutoCAD, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of building services engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
  • Tenders and Proposals: Support the preparation of tender documents, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and schedules.
  • Design and M&E Engineering: Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and review mechanical and electrical designs using AutoCAD, and other design software. Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and layouts as required.
  • Health and Safety: Assist in ensuring all projects comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct site inspections and support risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Operations & Maintenance (O&M): Develop and maintain O&M manuals, ensuring they are comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in preparing progress reports for internal and client review.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively engage in professional development opportunities, including attending training sessions and staying current with industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of building services design principles and practices.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with other design software (e.g., Revit, BIM) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of M&E systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations, and practices in construction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with project management software or tools.
