Compliance Officer

  • Up to £30,000 basic salary
  • Location: Neston - option to work from home on hybrid basis after probation
  • Hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm (5pm finish on Friday)

A great opportunity has arisen based in Neston for a Compliance Officer with experience working within an FCA regulated environment.

This role involves close collaboration with senior members of the business to deliver effective compliance oversight, including conducting audits, quality control, and comprehensive reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and a strong background in the insurance or financial services industry.

Key duties and responsibilities for this Compliance Officer position:

  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensure that all company operations comply with FCA regulations and other relevant legal requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Audits and Inspections - Plan and conduct internal audits to monitor adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Quality Control - Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure high standards of service delivery, monitor and review the effectiveness of compliance controls and procedures, Identify areas for improvement and assist in the development of improvement strategies.
  • Reporting - Prepare and present compliance reports to the Directors and other stakeholders and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities.
  • Training and Development - Design and deliver compliance training programs to staff.
  • Risk Management - Identify and assess compliance risks within the organisation. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Experience Requirements:

  • Ideally have experience in a compliance or similar role within the insurance or financial services industry. (i.e. quality assurance, auditing, complaint handling)
  • Preferable knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
