Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, delivering engaging lessons, and supporting the academic and personal growth of students. This role requires a commitment to educational excellence and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.
We are looking for a teacher for our Key stage 2 class, mixed age formal class - it is a class of 8 students, 4 TAs who access between Y1 and Y4 curriculum as well as lessons around emotional literacy, communication, social interaction etc. All are Autistic and have learning difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback.
- Provide individual support to students who may require additional assistance or enrichment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is preferred
- Previous teaching experience is preferred within SEND, but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students of varying abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
