Pyramid Recruitment are looking for an experienced Lead Loader to join the teamfor one of our Croydon based clients-
Expectation
- Be a good communicator- with customers, depts, management, driver, other loaders etc.
- Expect long days sometimes and be ready to work some Saturdays.
- Keep the van clean, tidy, packaging replenished. A tidy ship.
- Gain 5* reviews and recommendations.
- Work with all parties to achieve the smoothest day possible and improve efficiencies.
Customers
- Read driver and loader notes and check packaging requirement prior to day or before day begins so that you can act on it.
- Phone customer ahead and give ETA, ask about parking.
- Greet customers and set up the job.
- Report any damage immediately to customers.
- Mention the referral programme at the end of the job, once they are relaxed and happy.
- Spend 5 minutes doing some local leafleting- 9 leaflets, 5 in front and 2 either side if in a street.
- If all goes well on job, send SMS and aim to get a REVIEW
POD Loading
- Working with other loader or driver, ensure the pod is loaded safely, items protected and fixed securely.
- Take photographs of any mess prior to the job (e.g. hallway carpet) and any damage caused.
- Take photographs of pod sticker/contents and send to opps manager.
- Responsible for the driver tablet and admin- ensure any extras are explained. If tablet not functioning, report to management.
Presentation, Protection & Safety
- Ensure wearing of official uniform and safety shoes.
- Smoking or vaping around or in the van not allowed.
- Set up the job- clear gangways, remove hazards and obstacles.
- Protect any carpets, stairs, front door etc with protective sheeting, blankets, door protector.
- Ensure all van doors are secured- as per Golden Rules.
- Oversee safety of any junior loaders.
