Senior Systems Engineer
Location: New Malden, UK

Copello has partnered with a global defence company who are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to support complex, integrated maritime systems for the UK Defence Sector.

Your Mission


As a key member of our Defence Systems Engineering team, youll play an integral role across the entire project lifecycle, from concept to in-service, ensuring the delivery of vital systems for the UKs Naval assets. You'll work on multi-domain, state-of-the-art systems, contributing to the operational effectiveness of the Royal Navy.

What Youll Do

  • Lead Systems Engineering activities across the full project lifecycle
  • Implement and support Systems Engineering processes and methodologies
  • Lead technical reviews and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ensure timely delivery within budget, meeting company standards and customer expectations

What Youll Bring

  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering models, lifecycle planning, and technical reporting
  • Expertise in requirements development, design, integration, and acceptance
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Software, or Hardware Engineering
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Enterprise Architect, MBSE, SysML, and UML
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, mission-critical systems

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with military standards, marine equipment, and safety-critical systems
  • Knowledge of agile principles and scrum methodologies
  • INCOSE certification (Associate/Chartered Systems Engineering Professional)
